Cengiz Holding continues its activities in the field of mining in Both in Turkey and abroad. Ahmet Cengiz, Member of the Board of Directors of Cengiz Holding and Head of the Energy Group, reviewed the activities of the company in 2021.
According to Anadolu Agency, noting that Eti Aluminum plays an important role in meeting Turkey’s aluminum demands and creates great value for the economy, Cengiz stared information: “Eti Aluminum’s Konya Seydişehir facilities produce 82 thousand tons per year and with this production, 275 million dollars of imports are prevented every year. Here, we produce nearly 400 thousand tons of aluminum hydroxide and aluminum oxide in different forms as by-products and export these products to 75 countries. We exported 21 million dollars in 2020, we estimate that we have tripled this figure this year. We have very important R&D studies at Eti Aluminum. We will continue to increase these efforts in the coming period. We will announce when the studies on our new products that can be used in different sectors are completed.”
Ahmet Cengiz also shared information on the company’s operaiton on abroad. Cengiz noted that “We started exploration activities for copper mines in Qaşqaçay and Elbeydaş in Azerbaijan, and gold mines in Ağduzdağ. Our investment in Kyrgyzstan, the Tereksay Gold Mine, is about to start production. “
Pointing out that the Tereksay Gold Mine is among the 4 largest mining facilities in Kyrgyzstan Cengiz said: “We will continue to carry the important experience we have gained in the mining sector abroad with new investments and to represent our country proudly in this field in the coming period. We will continue to be one of the leading companies in the industry by using the latest technologies and providing the most efficient production in all business lines in which we operate.”
