Although talks are still in the early stages, significant progress has been made in negotiations between the two nations. However, a final agreement has yet to be reached.

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) echoed the ministry’s sentiments, highlighting the potential for economic activities and joint investments with Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries.

ACCI officials emphasized the need to harness these economic opportunities and start practical implementation.

Additionally, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum noted that the Islamic Emirate has successfully halted illegal coal mining activities. Currently, major companies conduct all mining operations in Afghanistan legally with issued permits.
