Iran and China Signed 25-year Cooperation Agreement. The agreement was signed in an ceremony in Tehran, with attendance of  Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

It is stated that the content of the agreement is comprehensive and covers a variety of economic activity including oil, mining, agricultural and industrial development and transportation.

In his statement in Reuters, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi commented about the relation between the two country: “Relations between the two countries have now reached the level of strategic partnership and China seeks to comprehensively improve relations with Iran. Our relations with Iran will not be affected by the current situation, but will be permanent and strategic.”
