Turkish gold explorer and producer Koza Gold announced that the case for the cancellation of the EIA positive decision given to Himmetdede Gold Mine has been rejected.
Kayseri 1st Administrative Court rejected the case with 23.11.2017 dated decision. Koza Gold has received EIA positive decision on 14.07.2016. The company also stated that the decision was notified to them on 03.01.2018 and that the plaintiff has the right to appeal.
The company also publicly shared current situation of the case about cancellation of positive EIA decision on Çukuralan Gold Mine. Regarding the Çukuralan operation, the company stated that EIA positive decision given to Çukuralan Gold Mine’s “3. Capacity Increase Project ” was sued with demand of cancellation to Izmir 6th Administrative Court. The court has decided to notice the company about the case. Koza Gold announced that it is emphasizing that necessary preparations have been made to be involved in the case and the developments related to the case will be shared with the public.
