Turkey’s Vice President announced on Thursday that Turkey is poised to bolster its collaboration with Kazakhstan in the domains of mining and electricity. Cevdet Yilmaz made these remarks during the signing ceremony of the Intergovernmental Joint Economic Commission meeting with Kazakh Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov at the presidential complex in Ankara.

 

Yilmaz emphasized, “We are committed to enhancing our partnership in mining and electricity. Moreover, we are set to embark on new initiatives in logistics and transportation, particularly focusing on the Central Corridor. Additionally, we aim to finalize an agreement in the maritime sector.”

He expressed optimism that the commercial and economic bonds between the two nations would escalate to levels that mirror their fraternal relations, striving for rapid and robust growth.

Yilmaz further outlined plans to bolster cooperation in regional development, stating, “Our objectives encompass the exchange of knowledge and expertise, especially in the realm of smart cities, and organizing business and investment forums across Kazakhstan’s regions.”

Underlining the ongoing relations with Kazakhstan within the framework of strategic cooperation, Yilmaz noted the successful completion of business forums, bilateral talks, and inter-delegation meetings, underscoring the essence of fraternity and friendship.

During the ceremony, Yilmaz and Bektenov sealed an Action Plan Protocol between Turkey and Kazakhstan.
