Ariana Resources ,the exploration and development company with gold mining operations in Turkey, announced a Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Exploration Target for its Salinbas Gold Project. Project is located in the Hot Gold Corridor and is 100% owned by Ariana Resources.
The company stated that they established JORC Exploration Target including up to 2.7Moz gold and 16.1Moz silver in the Salinbas area. The company emphasized that the figures they share excludes current JORC Indicated and Inferred Resources of approx. 1Moz gold. The company underlined that definition of a exploration target according to JORC 2012. Definition shows there has been insufficient exploration to estimate a Mineral Resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the estimation of a Mineral Resource.
High-grade and steeply plunging breccia pipes akin to Hod Maden, which feed in to the Salinbas Horizon shows potential for further resource extensions.
To determine weather the potential of the target area is JORC compiant mineral resource or not, the company already completed planning new drilling programme. in scope of exploration drilling plan, Ariana will make.10,000m of drilling and plan will be executed in at least two phases once final forestry permits are secured.
Dr. Kerim Sener, Managing Director, commented: “We are extremely encouraged by the results of recent work completed at Salinbas during the past few months. A detailed three-dimensional model has been developed to visualise a highly prospective stratigraphic horizon at Salinbas, which, in parallel with the discovery of Salinbas North, has added significant confidence towards defining an Exploration Target in accordance with the JORC code.
Our confidence in the potential for the Salinbas Project to host a multi-million ounce gold system in the area surrounding the Ardala Cu-Au-Mo porphyry has grown significantly during the past year. The diligent work undertaken by our exploration team in recent months, involving the meticulous relogging of over 50 drill holes, along with the associated three-dimensional modelling, has underscored this potential. We now look forward to our summer exploration programme at Salinbas, which will be focused on follow-up surface sampling to further define this prospective horizon ahead of drill testing. Permitting for drilling is underway and trial-mining of the Ardala licence is due to commence shortly, ahead of licence renewal during 2019.”
