Gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 11.1% in the third quarter of 2017 compared with the same quarter of the previous year according to TUIK’s data. GDP increased by 24.2% and reached 827 billion 230 million TRY at current prices.
The activities which constitute GDP were analyzed by TUIK and Obtained data shows that; the total value added increased by; 2.8% in the agricultural sector, 14.8% in the industry sector, 18.7% in the construction sector, 20.7% in the services sector (wholesale and retail trade, transport, storage, accommodation and food service activities) compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index
Calendar adjusted gross domestic product in the third quarter of 2017 increased by 9.6% compared with the same quarter of the previous year. Seasonally and calendar adjusted gross domestic product increased by 1.2% compared with the previous quarter.
Final consumption expenditure of resident households and consumption of NPISH increased by 11.7%
Final consumption expenditure of resident households and consumption of NPISH increased by 11.7%, government final consumption expenditure increased by 2.8% and gross fixed capital formation increased by 12.4% in the third quarter of 2017 compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index.
Exports of goods and services increased by 17.2%, imports increased by 14.5%

Compensation of employees increased by 14.4%
Compensation of employees increased by 14.4%, net operating surplus/mixed income increased by 33.3% in the third quarter of 2017 compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
The share of compensation of employees in gross value added was 32.7%
The share of compensation of employees in the gross value added was 32.7% in the third quarter of 2017 while it was 35.6% in the same quarter of the previous year. The share of net operating surplus/mixed income was 52.2% while it was 48.7% in the same quarter of the previous year.
