Kyrgyzstan Energy and Industry Minister Doskul Bekmurzayev and his delegation visited The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey and  the Union of Mining Industry Employers (MASİS). During his visits, Bekmurzayev discussed various topics with the authorities including strategic partnership between two country and cooperation opportunities in energy and mining industries.

During Bekmurzayev visit to TBMM, TBMM’s Speaker Mustafa Şentop welcomed him. Celebrating 30th year of the Kyrgyzstan, Şentop expressed that they are ready to provide all kinds of support for the economic prosperity, development and growth of Kyrgyzstan.

Şentop also stated that “2021 is also the 10th anniversary of our relations with Kyrgyzstan to reach the level of strategic partnership. There are also developments regarding our trade volume. Despite being in the epidemic period. In the first 7 months of 2021, our trade volume increased by 55 percent compared to the same period of 2020. I hope we will reach the bilateral trade volume target of 1 billion dollars determined by our Presidents as soon as possible.”

During his meeting with Mustafa Şentop, reminding that Turkey was the first country to recognize the independence of Kyrgyzstan. Bekmurzayev emphasized the relation between two county: Bekmurzayev  stated that “The history, destiny, language and religion of the two countries are the same.”

Bekmurzayev  also visited Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey. Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez commented about his meeting with Bekmurzayev: “We had a productive meeting on the development of our energy cooperation between our countries.”

An other visit of Bekmurzayev  was to the Union of Mining Industry Employers (MASİS).  During the visit, expressing that they would be pleased to host the MASIS management in Kyrgyzstan as soon as possible , Bekmurzayev stated that as the Ministry, they are ready to support Turkish investors in every aspect. Sides discussed cooperation opportunities in the mining industry in meeting.
