Trade Ministry of Turkey shared the foreign trade, export and import data of the country. According to the data, exports of Turkey increased by 32,9 percent in 2021 to $255,367 billions compared to the previous year.
Compared the the previous year, mining exports of Turkey increased by 38,9 percent In 2021 to $5,930 billions. 2 billion 92 million dollars of total amount was obtained from natural stone, 2 billion 148 million dollars from metal mining, 1 billion 100 million dollars from industrial raw materials. In 2021, share of mining exports to total exports of the Turkey increased compared to the previous year and was recorded as 2,6 percent.
Gold production, which was 42 tons in 2020, decreased by 7 percent in 2021 to 39 tons. In 2021, it was recorded that gold exports were 7.6 billion dollars and imports were 5.6 billion dollars. It was stated that Turkey, which has had a foreign trade deficit in gold trade since 2017, achieved a foreign trade surplus this year, and that 2.2 billion dollars of foreign exchange savings were provided to our country with 39 tons of gold production.
In 2021, China, USA, Spain, Bulgaria, Belgium, İtaly, India, Sweden, Germany and France were the top ten importers of Turkey’s mining products.
