Owner of the only uranium project in Turkey, Westwater Resources (WWR) announced an update about development in Turkish Nuclear Industry. WWR stated that it keep focused on advancing the Temrezli in-situ recovery uranium project in Central Turkey when uranium prices permit economic development of the project. WWR has eight exploration and operating licenses covering approximately 39,000 acres (over 16,000 ha) with numerous exploration targets, including the potential satellite Sefaatli Project, which is  48 km southwest of the Temrezli Project.

According to pre-feasibility study in 2012, Temrizli  project has a mineral resource  of 2,008,000 tonnes at an average grade of 1,378 ppm for 6,100,000 pounds of measured mineral resource and
